1. Who We Are

JadooBooks ("we", "us") is a data entry automation platform operated from Bangalore, India. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our Service.

2. Information We Collect

  • Account information: Email address, name, company name.
  • Financial documents: Invoices, bank statements, payroll files you forward to the Service for processing.
  • Extracted data: Structured data our AI extracts from your documents (vendor names, amounts, GST numbers, etc.).
  • Usage data: Actions performed within the app (logged in the activity log for audit purposes).

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide the Service — process documents, extract data, facilitate posting to accounting software.
  • To send transactional emails (processing notifications, errors).
  • To improve the Service (aggregated, anonymised usage analytics only).

We do not use your financial documents to train AI models. We do not sell your data to third parties.

4. Sub-Processors

We use the following third-party sub-processors:

  • Supabase — Database and authentication. Data stored in AWS ap-south-1 (Mumbai).
  • Google Cloud (Gemini API) — AI extraction of document data. Processed transiently; not stored for training.
  • AWS S3 (ap-south-1) — Temporary document storage during processing.
  • Vercel — Application hosting.

5. Data Residency

All user data is stored in the AWS ap-south-1 (Mumbai) region. Your data does not leave India.

6. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. On account closure, data is retained for 30 days and then permanently deleted. You may request earlier deletion by emailing privacy@jadoobooks.com.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. Contact us at privacy@jadoobooks.com to exercise these rights. We respond within 7 business days.

8. Security

We implement AES-256 encryption at rest, TLS 1.3 in transit, Row-Level Security at the database layer, and maintain an immutable audit log of all data access. See our Security page for full details.

9. Compliance

This policy is designed to comply with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011.
